With a purple-red colour and a markedly territorial flavour, Tintilia comes from the native Molise vine par excellence and takes its name from the latter. Partly aged in oak barrels, it is a generous, romantic wine in love with its land. Its flavour is broad and recalls red fruits, the balsamic nature of the Mediterranean scrub, and the spices of the hinterland. If it were a story it would be a novel that never ceases to surprise.
Typical and fascinating, Tintilia is always the right interaction between concentration and transparency. On the nose, fresh flowers and red fruits dominate, leaving room for a hint of Mediterranean scrub attributable to the earth and interesting notes of evolution. The mouth is dry and juicy, and the firm tannins dry the taste with extreme precision, leaving room for a beautiful fruity and fragrant persistence.

Alcoholic fermentation and maceration: The destemmed bunches are not pressed to respect the maximum integrity of the skins. During alcoholic fermentation, frequent pumping over is carried out to favour the extraction of aromas, colour and tannins from the pomace. Once the maceration is finished, which varies from 7 to 9 days, the racking is carried out.
Malolactic fermentation and refinement: After racking, the wine is decanted and undergoes malolactic fermentation. The latter lasts about 10 days and takes place at a temperature of 20°C. Tintilia is aged in steel and 500 liter first and second passage oak barrels; before being released for consumption it spends at least 12 months in the bottle.
